On March 10th, the American Forces Press Service reported that the 3rd Battalion, 8th Marine Regiment - the ground combat element of Special Purpose Marine Air Ground Task Force in Afghanistan - formally began sending all-female Marine Lioness teams out on missions to interact with Afghan women and children
in Farah Province.
